Jessie Freyermuth is the Director of Music Program Outreach at Ottawa University, as well as an instructor in the music department in which she teaches the music history sequence. She received both her bachelor's and master's degrees in vocal performance from Kansas State University, and is currently writing her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Music History. Jessie has been teaching private lessons for ten years, and opened a private studio in the KC area through the Kansas City Vocal Institute in 2011. Through collaboration with other private studios, Jessie has coordinated several recitals and taught master classes in preparation for solo and ensemble competition.
Jessie has performed throughout the Kansas City area. Most notably she has made several appearances at the Gaslight Grill in Leawood, KS and been a guest artist for Bravo! Ottawa University Vocal Jazz Singers.
